Lorraine Herrmann is mother to Larry & Ted Herrmann. She lived from November 11, 1918 (the First Armistice Day) until April 6, 2006. Her life was full, extremely active; from caring for over 16 foster children; driving school bus; helping Gene operate "Gene's Live Bait" in Pewaukee for 25 years; playing the organ for several church's for over 65 years, including playing for three (3) different church's on Sunday morning for a considerable period of time; writing articles for the Milwaukee Journal & Waukesha Freeman from time to time; Pewaukee reporter for Lake Country Reporter publications; creating and sending out a newsletter to many friends and relatives; mentoring & touching so many people and souls.
A memorial was given for Lorraine in Bradley Park in Tomahawk, WI on August 12, 2006 with Pastor John Miskimen of the First Congregational Church officiating. The Service began at 11am, with food and beverage following the service. There were approximately 45 people in attendance. The day was beautiful, partly cloudy, in the mid 70s. Bradley Park was at it's best! A slight breeze whispered through the tall pines, keeping everyone comfortable. Ted and I wish to thank Ann and the ladies of the Congregational Church who brought food and helped serve the Sloppy Joes as well. Larry will eventually consolidate photos and video of the day and video of Lorraine playing the organ onto a CD which he will make available to anyone who would like a copy. To all who attended, we want to extend our profound "Thank You" for helping us honor this wonderful lady we are extremely proud to call "Mom".
