Normal routing is performed within the main program in text mode. Although normal routing and graphic routing use much of the same information, the functions are used in very different ways. Editing the text of individual stops is generally easier and more efficient in this mode.
Separate AM, PM & Noon Routes may be maintained.
The route information is maintained by stop. Each can be tailored in a number of ways. Any number of students can be associated with a given stop. Additional instructions can be given anywhere in the stop. For instance, you may want the driver to do some specific thing before actually picking up the students. You may want the driver to do something after picking up the students but before proceeding to the next stop.
When a student is selected to be associated with a route and stop, that information is automatically updated into the student record.
When you need to add a new stop in the middle of your route, the system pushes all following stops down one number automatically.
Routing information managed by the system include; route number, route name, departure time, first pickup time, return time, driver association, route rate for payrolling, stop number, student name, address, grade, sex, school, pickup time, parent name, phone, and more.
Route Sheets are currently printed in two different formats and both can be parameterized to change the appearance. At the end of the route sheet a chart is presented by grade, listing the number of students established for the route.
